La Casa del Suizo



is a modern tourist complex, located above the shore of the Napo river at the town of Ahuano, half an hour from Tena, the capital of Napo province. The hotel can accommodate 145 guests in luxurious cabins and consists of two swimming pools, one for kids and the other for adults with a bar, a restaurant with a capacity of 150 people with Ecuadorian and international meals served, a bar and a  reception area. This hotel is for the upper scale tourist, who like to experience the Amazon jungle in relative comfort.

Tour programs:

The tour prices below include accommodations and meals at the hotel, tour programs with native guides and English interpreters are included.

Transport from Quito to the lodge is not included but can be arranged by the owners of the lodge.


 

Activities include guided hikes through the surrounding jungle areas with explanation of the plant and animal life of the region, balsa rafting on the river, visit of Amazoonico, a non-profit rescue station for distraught animals, visit of a Quichua village, where you can observe the making of chicha, a popular fermented drink used by the natives and demonstrations of the art of using a blowpipe.
