Islazul Tours - Nature and Diving Cruises |
|
|
Islazul Tours
sells for
individual travelers nature and diving cruises
of various cruise companies operating in the islands (for a list of the
boats where prices can be compared, click to
our
boats page).
We have some 50 boats and ships
(see box above and below ) in our catalogue encompassing all price classes
from the cheapest to the most expensive ones, which you can look up on
the individual boat pages. There, apart from the prices, you find a
picture of the ship, its specifications, itinerary and other
useful information. For larger groups (minimum
10 people) who are interested in a boat charter, look up our own charter trips, which
start and end in Quito and include additional services (click to the
charter
section). |

Individual cruise prices and other costs |
|
|
The prices you will find on the pages of the
individual boats are the costs of the cruise
per person and only
for reference although for the most time it
will be the correct price. For the exact price at any given time
and availability, you have to contact us and
after consultation with the boat owners, we can give you the definite
cost, which sometimes may be lower as the published price. Sometimes
but rarely
boats offer last minute prices in the days leading up to a not fully
booked cruise. That however you have to book at our office in
Quito as the time is too short to do that by
internet. Apart from those costs, you have to
pay the airfare of the flight to the
Galapagos islands
and the National Park Tax, which are
not included. |
|
Note: For operational and other reasons,
the ship company
can also place you at a short notice on another boat, which has the same
or better standard than the one originally contracted.
Itinerary can be subject to be modified without previous notice due to
weather conditions, policies of the Galapagos National Park or due to
operational reasons. |
|
IMPORTANT:
As of June 2008, many boats will increase their prices as a federal
fuel discount will be withdrawn by the national government. As soon
as we have the exact increases we will update the boat prices but we
will let you know the new exact price before you book a boat for the
second half of this year.

National Park Tax |

|
NOTE:
This amount is made up of two parts. $10.- has to be paid at
Quito airport at INGALA to obtain authorization of entry to the
islands. The actual
National Park Tax of $100.- must be paid by you personally in USD cash once you arrive at Baltra
or San Cristobal airport. No credit cards or traveler cheques accepted.

you may also start from Guayaquil or book a combination of Quito and
Guayaquil flights. |

Reservation and payment policy |
|
|
First contact us and tell
us of the boats or at least the price class you are interested in and
your exact time period of the cruise. Then we check with
the owners for availability and a definite price. Once you agree to a
particular boat, we will need your complete names,
birth dates, nationality and passport number and we block then your spaces for a week to give you sufficient time
to make the obligatory non-refundable
reservation payment of 25 % of the total value of the boat and flight
by money wire (see below). That deposit reserves you
firmly your spots on the ship and on the airplane. Once received, we
send by E-mail a confirmation and an invoice stating receipt of the deposit. The final
payment has then to be received at least one month before departure to the
islands. It can be paid either in USD cash at our office in Quito or by another wire. You will get another notice from us, acknowledging
receipt. There will be no refund in case of a late
cancellation on your part and the full amount is lost. A few days before departure to the islands we have your
airline ticket and boat voucher ready to be picked up at our office in
Quito.
IMPORTANT: We
do not accept Credit Cards
either by Internet or at our office in Quito. So the payments have to
be made either in USD cash or by money wire to our bank in Holland.
Money Wire: Once you like to book a
trip through us, we will give you the transaction details. Be aware that
all transaction fees go on your account as our bank does not charge us any transaction costs. The fees of your bank
has to be paid by you. Our bank in Holland, Europe accepts SWIFT
transfers in USD, CANADIAN DOLLARS and EUROS. For EURO transfers inside
the European Community you might also use IBAN deposits as they are much
cheaper.
|
|
NOTE: The above reservation and payment policy is valid for
most boats but some companies have different policies, especially the
more expensive ships but in case of discrepancy, all will be
explained to you before you commit financially to a cruise. |
