Gardner
Bay is a beautiful white sand beach, great for swimming and
relaxing.
Pelican resting in the water and rocks in front of beach which
are great for snorkeling.
Yellow-crowned Night Heron on the beach. They breed in single
pairs and build nests in mangroves and under rocks. As their name
suggest they are nocturnal hunters.
Islands close to the beach serve as anchor sites for tourist
ships.
One of the best snorkeling sites with many tropical fish like
surgeon and angel fish seen along the submerged rocks. The small white-tipped reef sharks can also be observed resting often
under rocks.
Two,
King Angelfish to left and Mexican Hogfish, of
the many small tropical fishes observed while snorkeling.
Dry Forest with low growing trees and shrubs spread from the
beach to the interior.Moths get attracted by the
boat lights.
Another wonderful sunset in the Galapagos, this time over Gardner
Bay.
