Location of Pululahua and Finca Colibri

Finca Colibri is located in the Pululahua Crater, which is nearby Mitad del Mundo and about 25km north of Quito. It takes 45 minutes by car from our Bed & Breakfast to get to Ventanilla, the viewing spot on top of the crater and then another 45 minutes to drive to or walk down to the farmhouse. The farmhouse itself is located in the north-east corner of the crater (right-hand side, looking down into the crater from Ventanilla).

Public Transport: Take the pink bus "Mitad del Mundo" from Avenida America to the Equator Line Monument. Some buses continue on to the junction of the crater or you have to wait for the next one. From the junction walk to Ventanilla and then on down to the farm.

Private Transport: Take the road, leading to Mitad del Mundo and continue on towards Calicali. 2 km before the town is the turn-off to the crater (500m after passing Texaco station, on right-hand side). A gravel road leads to the Park entrance and then down to the bottom of the crater.
